Is Basis public?
While in beta, Basis is invite-only. You can join the waitlist below — no invite needed to sign up. When a spot opens up, we'll email you an invite code automatically.

Join the waitlist first (bottom of this page). When a spot opens, we'll email your personal code. No need to ask — it comes automatically.
How does the referral system work?
When you're admitted, you'll get a personal referral code. Share it — anyone who joins via your code bumps you both up the queue when they're confirmed.
Do I need a Spotify account?
Yes. Basis uses your Spotify listening history to build your profile. Apple Music support is planned but not shipped.
Is my listening data public?
Only what you choose to show. Profiles default to users_only (visible to signed-in Basis users). You can switch to public at any time from /settings.
How does the compatibility score work?
Jaccard similarity on your top artists and genres (weighted 60/40). The formula is published and deterministic.
Is Basis free?
Yes. No credit card, no subscription. Invite codes are free and never for sale.
